|
Gustavo Ortiz initiated his studies at the National Academy of
Bellas Artes from the North Santiago del Estero in which he entered
by the year 1960. Being a scholarship holder from the Hispanic
culture Institute of Madrid, he continued his painting and Art
history studies at the El Museo del Prado ( Prado's Museum )
extended later to Italian and French museums ( Modern Art Museum of
Paris ). He too was a scholarship holder from the National Sub
secretary of Culture, he continued his artistic studies in Buenos
Aires, showing his works in individual and collective expositions,
sent to provincial and national galleries obtaining many
distinctions and awards. Premio Lasansky at the IX Salon National
Buenos Aires, Premio Adquisicion at the El Salon Ciudad de Coddoba
at the Genaro Perez Museum, etc) Meanwhile he was dedicated on the artistic teaching in his particular atelier. Radicated in Rio de Janerio, Brazil, he exposed his works between 1978 to 1992 in Sao Paulo and Rio's galleries and also in official galleries, period in which he made several travels to Spain with his paintings. Actually he works and create in his ateliers of Santos, S.P, Brazil and in La Falda, Cordoba, Argentina.1990-91 marqued a fluent relationship with art galleries from Santiago de Chile. |
