  Sonia Torres was born in Cali, Colombia in 1936. She graduated from Universidad del Valle. Her Passion for creation is demonstrated in her work, whether it be an orchid, or a silver stallion prancing in the wind or a highly powerful lion. Her work has graced museums in Colombia, Museo de la Terulia and in Venezuela, Museo de Art, Moderno.

In North America her work has been shown in the finest galleries:
